Meet the team

Colin Eby

Colin started CVE Mortgage Group in 2015, steps away from becoming a Certified Management Accountant. Unlike most brokers, he earned a finance degree before his broker licence, and he leans on that every day.

“My job as a broker is to negotiate the best available financing terms and rates on your behalf. I work with 20+ lenders, giving you access to a pool of rates and options so we can find the one that works best for you.”

“The highlight of my day is an email from a client who came into my office feeling hopeless about their finances a few months ago, and is finally excited about the future again.”

He believes every client should be treated like family. Outside the office he golfs, plays hockey, and sponsors and hosts community events in his hometown.

Brendan Eby

Brendan has been an integral part of CVE Mortgage Group since its founding. Working closely with his brother Colin, he's dedicated to exceptional service and works diligently to meet every client's needs.

He's a devoted husband and father of two young boys, and volunteers as a minor hockey coach for both of his sons' teams.

Derek Heimpel

Derek welcomes new clients and makes sure they feel comfortable and confident that their needs will be met. He's friendly, efficient and always ready to greet you with a smile.

Outside of work, Derek is a father of two and a volunteer firefighter. He enjoys sports and time with friends and family.

Leah Martin

Leah runs CVE's daily operations, keeping everyone on task and communication clear. That's how files get completed accurately and closing dates get met.

In her spare time she pursues art, interior design and yoga, and spends time with her family.

Phillip Lange

Phillip leads CVE's marketing strategy and brand recognition across Ontario, building programs that highlight the team's service and commitment to clients' financial well-being.

He lives in Munich, Germany, and enjoys soccer and time with friends and family.
